Ms. Radhika Garg, a 22-year-old Professional currently employed at Tata Ltd. Mumbai, recently fell victim to a disturbing fraud scheme. She hopes to raise awareness and prevent others from facing similar predicaments.

Nature of Offer: Payment in exchange for writing Google reviews for restaurants
Initial Task: A sample task was provided and duly compensated for completion.
Sequence of Events:
🗓️ March 17, 2024
Platform: Telegram group
Instructions: Write reviews for various restaurants on Google Maps
Compensation: Received payments totaling 90 rupees for completing initial tasks.
Subsequent Tasks:
Task 6 required a prepayment of 1000 rupees, which was duly made.
Upon completion, received 1410 rupees.
The scheme followed a pattern of escalating upfront payments for marginally higher returns.
Escalation:
Requests for payments increased, including demands for 7000 rupees and 32000 rupees for the second task.
Compliance with these requests was met, under the impression of a legitimate arrangement.
Issues during the withdrawal process were cited, necessitating additional payments.
Realization of Fraud:
Suspicion arose when asked to pay 185000 rupees.
Refused to proceed further and initiated investigation.
Evidence confirmed the scheme as a scam.
Financial Loss:
Incurred a total loss of 132500 rupees.
Absence of bank confirmation texts for debits raises concerns of potential manipulation.
In an endeavor to rectify this situation and recover lost funds, Ms. Garg has provided transaction screenshots and conversation copies. She urges investigation and action to prevent further victimization.
