“Get Me Pregnant” Scam: Pune Businessman Loses ₹11 Lakh in Bizarre ‘Pregnant Job’ Fraud
In a shocking case from Pune, a city contractor fell victim to a bizarre online Scam after being lured by an unusual advertisement that read — “Mujhe Pregnant Karo” (Make me pregnant). The advertisement, which promised Money and job opportunities in exchange for participating in a so-called “pregnancy project,” ended up costing the Businessman a staggering ₹11 lakh.
How the Scam Began
According to reports, the contractor came across an online post offering payment for “pregnancy-related assignments.” The ad claimed to be from a reputed medical research company seeking participants for “scientific purposes.” The victim, intrigued by the strange offer, contacted the number mentioned in the ad — marking the beginning of an elaborate Trap.
Fake Documents, Big Promises
The Scammers presented the scheme as a legitimate research-based job opportunity, even sharing fake identity proofs, contracts, and medical authorization letters. They promised the man a large financial reward for his “participation” and convinced him that a deposit was needed for registration, medical processing, and insurance coverage.
Trusting the documentation and the smooth-talking fraudsters, the Businessman made multiple transfers over time — totaling ₹11 lakh.
The Shocking Realization
Once the payment was complete, the “company representatives” stopped responding to his calls and messages. After several failed attempts to reach them, the man realized he had been duped. He immediately filed a complaint with the Pune Cyber Crime Cell, who are now investigating the case.
A New Low in Online Scams
Cyber experts are calling this one of the strangest Scams in recent times — combining elements of romance Scams and fake job offers. The use of explicit or emotionally charged advertisements is becoming a new way for fraudsters to target unsuspecting individuals.
According to cyber officials, Scammers exploit human curiosity, loneliness, and greed — often creating highly unusual or sensational job postings that catch attention and lower suspicion.
Authorities Warn Public
Police have urged people to remain cautious of any advertisement that promises quick Money or strange assignments. Officials remind citizens never to share personal information or transfer Money without verifying the source.
Cyber Cell Advisory:
Avoid responding to unusual or explicit online ads.
Always verify company credentials through official websites.
Report suspicious posts or job offers immediately.
This incident serves as a strong reminder that in today’s digital world — even the most bizarre offer can be a Trap.
